*Emergency Bulletin* Autozone Clearance

Indeed, it is the paste that is for sale. On the previous page, I posted a picture and their are two jars of #26 in the picture. The sales staff won't know what you are talking about either. I was a little skepticle, so I went to the front desk and asked them to scan if for me, $0.99. The sales man was so shocked he asked the manager to come over and take a look! I went back and grabed another can including all the stuff on the previous page. $6.24. I am still excited about it!

They won't neccesarliy be on clearance. The staff at AZ doesn't know the stuff is being sold so cheap. I'm not sure how it all works, but apparently many of the AZ have the same computer program that determines their price. They very well could have the product marked at $4.99 on the shelf. If you go ask the salesman, "Is this on sale?" he will probably say, "Nope, $4.99!" Just ask him to ring it up. I'd be willing to bet my snickers it's not $4.99...

btw.. anyone of you guys know what is the model # for the tire wash?

It's usually sent by satellite weekly into the computer. And if it comes up .99 it comes up .99...i know being a store clerk I could give a **** as long as 1) the customer is happy with the price and 2) my money evens out with what the computer says I should have at the end of the day.

I went back to the AZ near me and found that the Formula 2001 Tire Spray (64 oz) is on sale for .99 as well. I got 4 bottles. I doubt I will use it on my tires but its perfect for dressing the wheel wells.

For $1.00 it can't be beat :)

Just got back from AutoZone & as J.J. said.....the dudes at AZ have no idea the #26 Paste is priced at .99 cents! the AZ near my house has the #26 Paste marked at &4.99 on the shelf. I took a can to the register, they scanned it........wellah! .99 cents! I took everything they had! I now have 8 new cans. ( I miss the old "tins" of #26 ) MINE! MINE! IT'S ALL MINE!!! BWAAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

It almost feels like you're stealing it! Damn, nice score there BlkTac.

8 cans should last.... well forever

Is #16 that much better than #26 or is there just more experience with it? I don't have any experience with #16, but I'm hopeing #26 will work just as well!

Here's a thread comparing the durability, among other things, of the two:

http://autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54910

I have #16 on my car and it gives a very reflective look to it. I'm looking to add a bit more depth and wetness so I have #26 (from AZ) that I will attempt to top with.

Hope this helps.

Oh, man. I found ONE JAR of #26, in Scranton... and I probably used $3 worth of gas to go get it, but it was worth it to watch the guy's eyes widen when he scanned it!

Was it this look? :shocked :shocked :shocked :shocked :shocked

LOL, yeah, and the next thing he did was look to see if there was any left. We started talking, and he told me that in his garage he had a wall of products "like that", as he pointed at the shelves.

Tomorrow, Stroudsburg and Allentown. Thursday, Tunkhannock. (Job interviews both places.)
