Electric Powr Washer

That'll buff right out!
I know the search engine is my friend, but I'm not getting the results that I'm looking for...

I've gone thru 2 and 1/2 Karcher units - they just don't standup to the minimal useage requirements that I have!

Here's what I do: wheels, wheel wells, door jams, floor mats, and occasional traffic paint removal. I work indoors, and the unit can be stationery...

I want electric, at least 25 ft hose, able to accept 125+ degree hot water, DURABILITY, and local parts and service.

The unit is only used less than an hour per day, or less than 6 hours per week.

BTW, I've looked at the Delco site... probably not for me... I'm leaning toward Landa, since I know they have a local dealer.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check to see who services your local self serve car washes...& then call those people.

They can set you up with a stationary commercial pressure washer that runs on 220...can handle hot water...very durable...and they will service it when it needs it.

I use to buy those Karcher models...but after I went through 2 in a year I figured it was time to invest in something else.

I had a guy that services my local self serve car wash come & install my pressure washer...25' of hose, wand, CAT industrial use pump, on/off switch on wall....all for $ 500.00.

I know that may seem much...but hey, those Karcher models were $200.00...so I think it was a wise investment.

I hope I was some help...

Oh yeah! Thanks for the advice. The $500 is not an issue. I want/need a quality tool that is there when I need it!

Here's a great example: my Karcher is running at about 1/2 power (hence this post). Lady calls after I started this thread, seems a truck infront of her started 'losing' 5 gallon cans of white paint right in front of her! She swerved, but... she called her body shop, they referred her to me. I spent 90 minutes trying to remove the still wet paint. With decent pressure, it would have been a 30 minute job. As it was, I had to resort to some lacquer thinner...I don't like to do that!

I'm working the phones here locally, but certainly will appreciate any more info!

Thanks to all...

Today I purchased a HOTSY electric power washer. I used once this afternoon. Much too soon to review, but I like it alot so far. Local service. $800.00.

More to come.

Yeah, It's cold, but that's what I need.

I can't explain to you what a difference there is between the Karcher and the Hotsy. The Hotsy at 'only' 1000 psi strongly out performs the Karcher (rated 1600 psi) in every sense.

Much too soon for a review, but I'm lovin' it!

Jim

The reason the HOTSY will outperform the Karcher is most likely due to the volume of water it will flow. High pressure is less important than GPM.

Multiply the GPM of both units by the rated PSI of both and see which number is higher. I would bet its the HOTSY.

Post a picture of your HOSTY if you can. I would enjoy checking it out.
