Eh Preview, Eh?

Ok Todd -you taking Ryan with you again to the Great White North for this shoot or what?? :toetap05::toetap05:

The full write-up will probably not be done until sometime after SEMA; Jack has me extremely busy for the next 2 weeks (after just returning from being gone for two weeks).

Here are a couple more pictures from the preview.

Original paint Lamborghini Miura.

If Edgar Allen Poe write an article for Detailing Magazine it would go something like your opening. I can't wait to see the whole review. A one off car....just tell Mr. X you will try to squeeze him in and that its all in a day's work for a Automobile Perfecting Specialist super hero.

Dude, enjoy and take lots of pictures so we can enjoy it with you.

Jeff

I saw that car in a magazine around the early 70's and it's wonderful to see it again! Did you say Hi to Mr. X for me?

Cannot wait to see the Muira write up, those grills are a PITA to remove off a original vehicle(if they have not been removed before) look at the pigment on the OLD original paint, bet that took some time to get through that one but I am sure you dialed it in Todd.

ok! ok! Im done with this Mr. X. his real name is.....
irigakaf fnv;fdv fdvf mkrfvijf
vfvnfvj fvdfveie.
.......ahrrrr the system wont let me write the name. jummmm!
Theres someone mean and powerful with the most rarest, exclusive, extraterrestial pieces of automotive history around here....

My last couple pics before I get to work on the write up...

I can verify that Mr. X is better on the race track than he is in the snow.

Holy mother of god! Forgive me. I have just sinned all over my keyboard

Glad your feeling better Barry.

I didn't have the benefit of Ryan's company this time :(

I'm speechless. And for me, that's a mouthful. What a car.

Agreed Bill!

Todd, that is just stunning. Downright stunning. Congrats on such a cool project!!

Thank you!

Fancy cars - nice.

Blue text font on tan background - hurts me eyes.

I left your reply in black! Hope all is well!

Soo, how many hours put into that Lambo Todd??

The trip was 13 days of mostly 16-18 hour days. I didn't track the total time put into automobile because many times I was multi-tasking. The garage was quite full of different people for different reasons at different times. My best guesstimate would be 35-40 hours.

Luckily I did not have to take off the trim, Mr. X has a full staff of qualified car mechanics and craftsman that make my job very easy (in this regard). The original paint had lacquer check on most of the roof and some upper parts of the doors which is always a fun challenge to make swirl free :) In the end I was very satisfied with the out come and feel so lucky to be able to work on the original lacquer of one of the most beautiful auto's ever made (IMO). Thanks

Very cool Todd! Can't wait for the full write up....love the Mr. X stories too. ;)

Thanks Chad! Mr. X loves Mr. X stories as well (or so I hope).

IMO

Can't wait for another world class writeup to go with your stunning work!

Mr X has the collection that never ends. :)

To my understanding, Mr.X's collection numbers in the 90s with the majority of collection kept on site. The remaining cars are dispersed around the world.

Funny, some of us know who the Stig is.. its.. Ml345987 #$)*&$#&_$#

They did reveal who HE is.. won't spoil it for those who don't want to know.
