I'm in the market for some new pads for my Rotary and I was looking at these www.edgepads.com , the sytem seems to be good idea and easy to use and I like the two side feature of the pads. Has anyone used these pads , if so with what results? How to they compare to Lake Country pads? Thanks for the help.

IIRC, I think some people have had some negative experiences with them. I know there was a thread about them a while back, maybe a search will come up with something?

What do you not like about the LC pads? I am just curious because I just got a bunch of new pads- LC and Megs and seeing which ones I like better.

I've got a set of the Edge 2000 pads and I like them. The self centering design is a foolproof and they work very well. I'd say they are on par with the LC pads I've tried from properautocare.com.

I use Edge pads and an like them very much. Have had no trouble using them on my rotary. I use them just about every time I detail a vehicle.

Greg I did search and only found a small thread about them nothing in detail about them. As far as not liking LC pads , I don't dislike them by any means , I just like trying new things and I like the idea of the quick release system and dual sided pads.

Now Megs pads I do not like at all , I've never had success with them.

I bought a few of the Edge2000 pads and Connector today and used the yellow, green, blue and white type pads all today in a trial.

I have used 3m waffle, Meguiars, Pacer, Contour, LC and find that Edge2000 pads have the following advantages.

1. Centering the pad is idiot proof and fast.

2. Contour of pad reduces sling

3. No need to worry about velcro backing un sticking (cough, cough Meguiars)

4. Tapered edge aids under mirrors and around trim

5. Double sided with different abrasivness ie, Cutting one side and polishing on another, means a product like DACP for example can be used as a heavy cleaner, mild scratch remover and then on the other side as a mild polish with a light abrasive pad.

6. Easy to clean.

I found that its possible to save a lot of time, which aquates to money when dealing with clients cars.

regards

Tony

I was a bit hesitant at first as I was very happy finally with my all Meguiars set up.

After one shot I was hooked. The slanted edges and easy centreing are what really sold me.
