Easiest to use/most durable for a new car? Not too concerned with fantastic looks

No flame intended...But AW is almost 1/3rd the cost of Z-CS and Optiseal.

You would have to buy at least 4 bottles of AW, to equal the amount of applications and durability you get out of a bottle of CS or OS.

Get a car cover. It will eliminate a LOT of work. Well worth the few munites to put on and remove.

Good Luck

Who makes Clear-seal again? I may try that out as well. Though I already bought three bottles of DG AW. Which was overkill... seems one bottle will last a LONG time.

Zaino makes clear seal, ZAIO than follow it with clear seal. You should be good for at least 6 months with that combo, cs can also be used on windows and trim.

alright I might look at clear seal as well. Unfortunately, I had already gone out and bought three bottles of AW as Carquest had it on sale :P

And yeah, I do want a car cover, but it seems like a) it will be a pain to put on and remove, and b) it might be doing more harm than good. One thing I keep thinking is how the brakes on this car make a lot of dust, and when I put the cover on, it's going to touch the wheels and get a lot of dust on the inside of the cover. And I have a hard time imagining how I will put it on and take it off without those parts touching other parts of the paint. It just seems that using a cover, while protecting from the elements, is just BEGGING to add swirl marks to the paint.

Also, we get windy here a lot... not going to be fun putting the cover on when it's 60mph winds outside...

I used a cover for years and IME your concerns are well-founded. These days I only use them indoors on the garage queens, and I don't even do that very often.

There are situations where a cover is the lesser of two evils, but IMO those situations aren't all that common.
