Early Mother's Day gift

Last week, when I detailed my Dad's black 626 to get in some more practice with the PC, my Mom asked when I was going to do the same to her car. I told her the next free day I had, I would. Well, today we did Mother's Day early since my Mom and Dad are taking a cruise to Rome; leaving this coming Friday and they don't get back until the end of May. I already had to work today since it rained on Saturday, but I finished up about 4:30 and headed to my brother's where we were all meeting for a cookout.

I went in, said "hi" to everyone then headed back outside to QEW my Mom's ES300. Then I went after it with Poorboy's PwC using the white polishing pad with the speed on 5. My Dad was playing with his new digital camera, so he took these pics from the spot I asked him to (and on all the following pics). I also took pics, but need to have them developed when I finish the roll. Anway, the fender (again, after polishing only):

I then went over the car with Poorboy's EX-P by hand. Turned out pretty decent. Mom was very happy!

I have a feeling my pics will look even better, because when I resized the pics, they were only about 600k at 2304 x 1536 and 100% jpeg quality. The pictures on the CDs I get are over 1 meg and 1800 x 1200 and 93% jpeg quality, so obviously these are not super high resolution, but they still turned out decent. :)

damn... that does look better than new. ya know... it looks so clean i might be able to eat off that... lol

Hey Scott. Any durability issue with PwC and Ex-P? I have 2 layers of EX-P on my car that I put on after SSR1 and would like to strip it, SSR1 again then try PwC and EX-P but I am convcerned about the EX-P bonding with the Carnuba in PwC.

What do you think and what is your experience with durability of this combo.

Thanks

D

Dalton-there don't seem to be any bonding or durability issues thus far with PwC and EX-P but I am going to order some of Poorboy's Pro Paint Polish also and use that with EX-P to see how it compares as a base. PwC and Vanilla Moose both seem to work well with EX-P and both really clean the paint up nicely.
