Anybody know how these worthless people can send you spam using your own e-mail address? It happens to us a lot and I have yet to figure out how they do it.

Unless they have cracked our passwords?:hmmm:

I don't even read mine....Just hit delete all.If someone is trying to ask me something they best use the old fashion method:telephone

It is very easy to do what they are doing, it is called Phishing. You can put anything in the From field of the email header, where it shows up like it came from you. But if you look in the header, you will see it came from a different IP address than your email server external IP address. This is how they internal scammers are catching people to click on links in emails sent from their banks, on line merchants, etc, and send them to a different site, where they can capture their passwords, credit card numbers, etc.

So if I report them as spam it won't effect my e-mails?

It depends on how you have your email server to allow your email through. If you have it trusting your emails by IP address, then it will allow only emails from yourself to come through. But if you are using your domain name, it most likely will block emails from yourself. I have my server trusting by IP address, otherwise I would be getting the bogus emails.
