DWG vs. RMG?

Is DWG more versatile than RMG?

It says that you can put anything under and over DWG...

So, you could put Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze under DWG, and then Pinnacle Souveran over DWG?

dwg is a little more versatile than rmg. you don't need #7 and dwg as they are the same type of product. you can put dwg follow with souveran then dwg. as mentioned earlier dwg can be used with waxes and sealants, where as rmg would only be used with waxes. also mentioned was the acronym decoder ring post while helpful it is not by any means complete.

So RMG is not able to be sealed at all? I thought I read that optiseal was a more than capable product for covering up RMG. My main plan was to use optiseal over some pink moose and now this thread is starting to make me regret my pink moose purchase =/.

HiHi

The reason why you might think some Autopians are leaving or not answering your question is b/c there is a search and i have tackled this question many times before.

Also, it seems like the right answer is provided, and no disrespect but at times people who seem quite new will come post something that goes against the grain of common consensus and is incorrect!

Let me just finish this up for you: RMG will work FINE with certain sealants, these are genrally the waterbased ones such as Megs #21, Wolfgang Sealant, Poorboys EX-P to name just two. Where RMG wont work is with something like Klasses SG or Zaino. These products tend to have issues bonding though oil filled pours in your paintwork.

DWG and its many other variants will work fine with wax or sealant of any nature. In that respect it is verstile and is a nice easy to use product.

However, both give DIFFERENT LOOKS. RMG is a great for making the paintworks metalic and pearls pop, for increasing depth and giving a nice wet finish to dark or light colours.

What you will get with DWG is a darkening of the paintwork, metalics will not be enhances anything like they are with DWG and furthermore DWG will give you heavier wet look.

DWG doesnt not compliment (IMO) all waxes all that well as i have often found the look to be a bit faux (fake) in the wetness factor. However, that a personal thing, DWG and CG EZ glaze are in my product selections b/c they do have there place to be used.

It depends on the look you want and the product your using which should determine which glaze you use.

I would NOT place DWG over and oil based glaze. I seriously dont think you will get any enhancements in look. If you want to overboard on product combos then you are kidding yourself if you think it makes it better. 80% of all the looks of the show cars and Click N Brags are in the prep work of polishing and finishing with the buffer.

Pinnacle Souveran is a nice wax, I own it and i like it. It darkens the paintwork, unless you want or need to darken your paintwork i would avoid the Pinnacle Souveran and DWG combo. I would certantly avoid DWG over Pinnacle Souveran you are just going to totally ruin any integrity in paintworks optics it would not be an enhancement.

Secondly, Pinnacle Souveran is a higher calibre wax, it doesnt need masses of glazes underneath it. RMG would compliment it much much better.

ENJOY!

Hello

Opti Seal is an AMAZING product! As i have posted before, you can even apply over a low durability wax such Pinnacle Souveran to make it last long!

Its fine over anything, including RMG and Pink Moose.

Fear not, there are no regrets to be had!

It stands for "Last Step Product"

I can't believe people would right that much crap and babble on in multiple post when all they had to do was answer your question. Unbelievable !!

and that's why i rarely post anymore.

it is a shame when someone asks a simple question and has to take a bashing over it, I hope that certain people have not turned anyone off to this site. I have found it to be very supportive and a storehouse of info. Guys like Scottwax, accumulator and a few others seem to really know their stuff and are willing to help out.

yea but it gets old quick if you look here:

you will see that I pointed him to the decoder just the other day

is it that hard to look at it again?:sign

That's my point. I didn't mean to rip on the guy that hard, but I find it hard to believe that that the OP has been reading these forums for six years and still doesn't know what LSP means. BigJim just validated my point.

Have not used RMG but I used DWG topped with Liquid Pinn. Souveran a few weeks ago. Very pleased with the outcome...

Nice car, man. They're pretty rare here in Lexington. I see more Ferrari's and 911 Turbos than Z8's here in town.

Thanks, Joel. However, I don't think our guy quite gets the point.

You are very rude, unhelpful, disrespectful and seem to want to bait people into an argument. PLEASE, if you can't HELP in your response SHUT THE HELL up. Oh and YES this is my first post, congrats you got a response! Silly child..

There are already so many posts to skim through here , garbage responses like yours, just make everything that much more frustrating.

Back on thread topic, I see you have gotten the response to LSP, I feel your confusion as I only found out what it was 2 days ago myself.

I wonder if there is an ignore filter for posters.. ::looking:::heelclick

Yeah, unfortunately there are always a few on every forum that feel superior, because, in most cases, the forum is the only place they can pretend to be...

And as pointed out before, I have NOT been reading these forums for 6 years....

I signed up 6 years ago, asked a handful of questions and that was it...

I came back and asked a few more questions 2 years later...

And just for a two week or so spurt there came back and asked a lot of questions....

So, all together, I have probably been reading the board for a total of a month and a half....

Not that that should even matter...

And yes, I did do a search, as stated before, for LSP and one post came up referring to it as some sort of chemical....

So, I asked...

If someone's post annoys you, do the mature thing and just don't answer it...
