This is the third time I have detailed this durango. The trim on the rear bumper and side steps is shot. We have tried more then a few products on it, Mothers back to black and even PB trim restore worked in with a brush.

Process:

Dawn wash

777 APC to scrub tires and wells.

EC/OP polish at 1500 Yellow LC VC pad.

106ff polish green P2 pad. one side rotary and the other PC.

IPA 50/50 wipedown

3x Z5pro w/ ZFX

Z8

Mirror and door handle trim got PB TR

Tires got Z-16

Back in April I used some Werkstatt's AJ. I think it gets washed twice a month then some Z8 is usually applied. This is what the AJ beading looked like after 5 months. After a dawn wash.

This is what the average swirling looked like:

I think the Zaino Z5pro made the paint look deeper and richer then the Werkstatt's AJ. IMO you need to top AJ with carnuba jett or another carnuba to get near the look of Z5pro.

Here is Werkstatt's AJ after a good polishing last time:

That last pic tells it all. Fantastic job. Where do you get your zaino products by the way?

Thank you!

She looks great Bryan.

Great to hang out with you all yesterday.

Jim, Thanks for your help!! Great seeing you too!

Looks pretty good, but did it really need EC/OP for the swirls? They look pretty light to me. Anyways, it looks very deep and wet, I've gotta pick up some Zaino before winter hits.

Hard to tell because of the lighting but the AJ pic looks better to me than the Z5 Pro pic. :nixweiss

Regardless, the Durango turned out really nice. :)

I tried 106ff first with a green pad and it took out some of the swirls, but I wanted them all gone in one "pass". The EC/OP combo finishes down very well. Some might even be tempted not to do a second step.

Thanks Scott. The owner even commented that the paint looked brighter and almost had a purple'ish tint to it with AJ. I soon hope to polish the wifes car and try Z5pro on it.

Thanks Steve. I usually don't mess with pics that much, just use xat.com for batch resizing and compression.
