8.258 / 84.81mph - 1/8 mile

THAT IS REDUNKYALOUS!!!!

The idle totally through me off because I was still expecting to hear a gas engine despite the pics! It's like drinking out of a soda bottle after refilling it with something else....it kinda shocks your taste buds. That is a bad arse ride.

I dunno if I would do that to a GNX, but more power to the guy who had the gonads to do it! I bet ya that thing picks up ridiculously just before mid track. I would kill to see that on the 1/4 mile.

I wonder how much torque that baby is pushing and what they did to reinforce the frame!

I agree, I really hope that wasnt a real GNX! You have to give the guy credit for originality though...very very cool.

Those Grand Nationals are beastly.

Putting in a Duramax? Wow, that is something! I like it, I like it a lot.

Like Diesel1 said, seeing the GN and hearing a GMFS 3500 Duramax was interesting.

Traction has to be the main issue with that car vs. a 4X4 drivetrain and more weight. The tub is monsterous to handle those wheels and tires.

+1 for the talent it took to get it done

+1 for unique

+1 for the results

:2thumbs:

By the way Scott, good work on the detail, too :woot:
8.25 in the 1/8 mile???? Slow. There is a CTD truck running high 9's in 1/4 mile
:nixweiss Not sure how long the car has been together and what all has been done to the engine. Probably a lot more potential lurking in that combo.

PBR-I've never even seen that car in person, just saw it on another board and thought I'd share. :)

Ohhh, figured it was something you'd done and nobody noticed how clean it was since we were all surprised/amazed at diesel power in a Buick!

Such a shame that GM killed off the real T-Type styling and related mechanicals for their cars. It really woke that division up. I'm a long time Buick fan, but I don't see much to get excited about these days.

Your fifth last pic, there is a part there that caught my eye -- because it looks like a computer hard drive...lol

Lovely car!
