Duragloss question

After reading all the good reviews about AW, I went to Car Quest and bought a bottle along with the leather conditioner. I really liked the look of the AW (just did a couple of test panels yesterday) and would like to try the polish. I am having a bit of trouble deciding between the 101, 105 and 111. Right now I think I'm between the 105 and 111. The Duragloss website did not help much. Anyone tried both? What is the difference.

I have used 101 and 111, have not tried the 105 yet.

The 101 is a cleaner sealant, i.e. think of it as similar to Klasse AIO. The 111 is pure sealant, i.e. similar to Zaino Z2 or Z5. The 111 can layer, the 101 cannot. The 111 is easier to work with, as it lacks the cleaners and mild abrasives. While 101 can be applied by hand, I always found 101 to work better with a machine/ PC.

From what I understand, the 105 sounds like a more durable and glossier 111, with very slight cleaners. If you have the choice bewteen all three, I'd choose 105 or 111, as they will have greater gloss, durability, and are easier to use.

Follow with the AW for a real pop in gloss and protection.

Mike :)

As mike said....The 105 is their flagship sealant now...I am in the process now of doing my truck now in 105..I used thier swirl remover to polish the paint....now applying the bonding agent..then putting on the 105...then AW

The 105 has a mild cleaner..to take off surface fallout and what your shampoo did not remove..IT Will NOT remove a fresh LSP..you can layer this..and from the chemist 3 layers is wet and deep and clear..and bulletproof...

I will try to get pictures later..taking a break now..muggy out...

if you get the DG line..get the 105..and the bonding agent...will not regret it....either will your wallet

What worked best for me was the 652 #2 PC Duragloss first and then several coats of 105 followed by several coats of AW. On my metallic Lunar Mist paint (Silver) it just seems to bring the speckles or flakes right to the top while giving the silver color a very deep and wet look. Mike

I just purchased the 111 because it sounds like it has the least cleaning agents in it. I don't need to clean, I need the deep gloss.

I forgot to tell yall the tech support said the 111 will bond to wax, so I am going to try it over a panel of my beautiful Pin. Sourveran.

You're going to cover that?!?

Yep, I am a nut for trying things out. It will work or won't. If not just slap some polish on there then add Sourveran again.

You would be better served applying the Souveran over the 111, not the other way around. Applying the sealant over the wax will yeild less than optimal results from the get go....IMO.

Sounds like I'll probably get the bonding agent and 105 then maintain with AW. I have Megs #9 and #80 as well as Mothers PP for prep if needed. My car is silver so it should look really good with that combo.

*sigh*... I just ordered MORE DG stuff, LOL... somebody help me!!!

Im sick... thats it, Im sick!!!

My FIL just got a new Town Car and asked about something simple to keep it clean. So I ordered him some DG products and added some for myself.... Im sick!!! Does it ever end?

YES!!!! It ends with Duragloss... for my use I wanted something that is quick and easy to maintain a clean, protecting shine. Im sold... One application of Aquawax and driving in the rain twice last week and the van needed nothing else then a quick wipe down with FC&S to look freshly detailed. Then I added another coat of Aquawax.
