Duragloss 105 capable of removing swirls?

I was wondering if I use 105 with a polishing pad, is it capable of removing super fine marring? Also does anyone know if it contains fillers?

Thanks

the sealants have no fillers...no silicones..no abrasives..the 105 has a mild cleaner to get contaminents off paint ...but the sealants r durable enough so cleaners will not effect them once they are down and cured..so they are layerable......also the 101 has a cleaner...but they will not reduce swirls or marring..

use the 652 or the SMR to reduce swirls and marring...they are sorta like a AIO but with abrasives...they also contain some sealant in them...no fillers...but they do work a long time while using a PC..and no dusting..just polish till getting clear...

not a bad product...

Sorry..I do stand corrected...Jerry did say that the SMR had acrylic resin in it to fill what was not polished out..but not heavy marring or scratches..it is a light abrasive....not for real corrections. but for buffer swirls and light scratches..the 652 was for more heavier scratches...

Sorry...

a polish with acryllic fillers :think2

yes sorta like swirlbuster....it polishes and fills remaining light marring...

quote from swirlbuster ad....

After a second use, SwirlBuster polish further massages away the swirl marks and begins to increase natural surface gloss. The Acrylic resins hide even more of the remaining defects and make the paint look darker and more reflective.

no..105 is not as strong as AIO as a cleaner..plus more sealant content in 105..

I tried to remove some staining on my CC mags looked like road paint...the 105 would not remove it....I got my AIO and it took it off....

What I have is super super fine marring, you can barely notice it in sunlight. I think 105 is the way to go since I want something light so I can use it once every 2 month or so.

105 will not remove marring...it is a sealant...it is called a polish but in reality a sealant...like zaino calls thier sealants polish...a few others call sealants polish also....

if you want to remove marring..light scratches...try a polish dedicated for that purpose...Swirlbuster...SSR..DG swirl mark remover..OP..they will help remove them

105 will not remove them..it is a sealant

Is 105 the only Duragloss sealant? I checked for it here in Iowa and the guy said that it is not in their midwest warehouses, but he could order it for me.

I went to CQ today to get 105. They didn't have any in stock, but said they expected some by Monday afternoon. They did have 111 in stock though. If the 105 isn't in Monday, I'll order online.

Kinda hope it's not in so that I can order a DuraGloss T-Shirt too :chuckle:

there is 105 which is the newest sealant has a light cleaner in also..but sorta weak as I found out today...would not clean off road paint..AIO did...but not a bad thing...

101..a cleaner polish...thier next type sealant

111...more of a pure sealant...different look than the 105 but a great product.....the 105 is much clearer on the paint and wetter looking and deeper..and slick as snot..

did you try carquest..napa...federated auto parts...

duragloss site has a store locator...on who sells it...

hope this helps

Thanks AL-53! I checked carquest here, I'll have to try NAPA.

I'm really confused, should you use 111 then 601, topped off by 105?

just use either the 601...or any good polish...like AIO...Prime...megs DACP...for your base ..then use either the 111 or 105 to seal it..those are 2 of the sealants...105 being the newest one...looks a little better than the 111..but both look good...

some Napas have it some do not...here they do not carry the 105..just the 111....

carquest should be able to order it for you..from the wharehouse....may take a day or 2...sometimes they are to lazy to look stuff up..give then the part numbers and ask them to look it up...lol....

if you are close to North Carolina..they do ship fast from the factory...but do a call order...not a online order...

use the 800 number and order...

good luck....try these stores also.... http://www.duragloss.com/duragloss-stores.asp if any near you

I'm planning FPII + 105 + AW :nixweiss

that should be fine....a clean polished surface is all thats needed...

I even though about polishing...then AW as a base then 105 over that..then AW again....

AW has same ingredients in a lesser form as 105 and 111...so may make a nice base...
