Durable AIO 4-way test

At the last wash (touchless), ZAIO and NuFinish were still beading well..

Ah, glad to hear that about the ZAIO. I haven't washed the Crown Vic since I ZAIOed it waaaay back in the autumn (and it's parked for the winter), but it's nice to know I won't have to redo it anytime soon.

Really enjoying this test! Curious on the rankings of DG 501, DG105, NuFinish and ZAIO in the areas of durability, cleaning ability, and corrective ability.

So I want to close out this review, I didn't really get pictures as the car looked like crap when winter was finally over. ZAIO held strong on the side panels to the end of march but was effectively dead on the flat panels. I think Nu-finish crapped out about the same time as ZAIO. That was the big surprise in all of this.

I also tried KSG at 3:1 on the FK215 side. With no prep and and just using it as a QD, I got a solid month, maybe 1.5 months out of it. That beats AW and OCW and it was just as easy to use.

The big winner is really is ZAIO. Its so easy to use, looks great and is very durable. I don't care for the look on metallics but its an amazing product for daily driver use.

I *still* have'nt washed the ZAIO-ed Crown Vic! It got rained on (real deluge) and that cleaned it off well enough for the time being. It shed the dirt better than I'd expected it to, by a big margin.

Yacky- Huh, you just mixed up some "KSG-QD" huh? Wonder how that'd compare to the Acrylic Spritz stuff

Poorly, I suspect. It cleans brilliantly but the protection will only last a few weeks. If you top it with KSG then you'll do very well. :up

Thanks for the reply. I picked some up as a first step for the daily drivers and was going to top it with Collinite 845.

So you really went with just ZAIO and no topper?

And yeah, the KSG-QD worked really well. Its not a real looker, but it beaded for much longer than I thought.

Yep! Heh heh, see...I really do keep a (somewhat) open mind about some things!

I might get some paintwork done on that car after I quit bumping cones with it, so I figured there was no point in doing my usual nutty overkill. And to be honest, I didn't want to spend one unnecessary moment detailing it, it's just not that kind of vehicle to me (not so much a "car" as a "training device" and I'm not trying to be all Autopian about it).

My only real concern on that car was that the ZAIO might not shed dirt the way I like, but judging by how the rain cleaned it off that might not be a problem.

On the KSG, I haven't touched mine since I got rid of the MPV. I've thought about using it on the TBSS but I haven't gotten around to doing *anything* with that one yet, almost verging on buyer's remorse :o

Agreed. I did my wife's SUV with K AIO and never got back to do the K SG and it died very quickly. I used to run the Klasse twins and loved them when topped with PS, they worked great. But since then I have switched to an unmentionable, over hyped product that I love and loads of people love to hate. So I won't veen mention it. But its brother fired very well in the test. LOL
