Durability of Wet Diamond?

... Wet Diamond is so easy to apply, the re-application is not a problem...

:iagree:

One of the great things about it is the wipe on, wipe off application. No waiting for it to dry.

I can put a coat of BFWD on my car in 20 - 30 minutes.

Thats it!! I gonna order some on the next sales.

15% off and free shipping - I pray that there's another one in Feb.;):D

I prefer applying to the whole vehicle then removing, I find it just comes off easier after a bit of time to set up. I got some smearing when I applied and removed panel by panel. Note that my bottle of Wet Diamond is pretty old (got it back in early 06') so maybe newer versions work better using a WOWO method.

I would expect 3-4 months with bi-weekly washing, less if you wash more frequently than that. A good QD after washing would help maintain the slickness and probably extend durability a bit.

Are you positive about this? If so, that's awesome!!!

On a number of posts I've seen Todd mention that BFWD can be worked either way, wipe off wet or allowed to haze.

I've done both and find wiping wet is very quick and easy and seems to work just fine.

Here are a couple of Todd quotes:

...As noted you can let Wet Diamond dry (haze) or remove it will still wet (the thin, microscopic layer that 'bonds' to the paint does so almost upon contact). ...

Keep in mind that Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant, like other acrylic polymer sealants, is designed to be applied and removed WET. However, like you guys, my preference is too let it dry before removal, but regardless of the technique you choose, you will still get the great slickness, look, and durabilty.

The only down side of choosing to let it dry is that you must make sure it is completely dry before removal. Depending on how thin you apply it and the enviroment, this will take 15 to 30 minutes on average.

Personally, I apply to the entire car, using either my Flex3041VRG or Porter Cable 7242 with a Lake Country Concours Gold pad. 2 little drops will cover at least 1/4 the car.

Repeated washings and exposure to the environment diminishes shine over time.

To combat this age old problem, the car care industry came up with quick detail spray but these sprays only renewed the shine from a few hours or maybe a few days. Properautocare found a better solution in BLACKFIRE Deep Gloss Spray (Sealant/Wax). While Deep Gloss Spray removes dust, fingerprints and surface smudges like a detail spray, it is actually an advanced polymer sealant in an easy-to-apply spray bottle.

Properautocare paid particular attention to making this spray wax trouble-free on black and red cars, even in climates of high heat ( like here ) and humidity. You will not have problems with hazy patches, streaks or cloudiness. Just a rich, uniform shine!
Use Deep Gloss Spray wax after washing or anytime to restore that ?just detailed?, wet-look sparkle.

:iagree: 100%

I love this stuff. It really brings back the just sealed finish of BFWD. It is very easy to use and is something that I would use after every wash.
