Have any of you guys used either? Or do you think it's just a gimmick that they can actually protect alot better than your regular washes and waxes?

Ice is garbage, and there's plenty of threads about it on here. Teflon I have no idea, all I know is I don't care to try it.

Teflon supposedly needs a tremendsously high temp. to bond to any surface and teflon in a car care product is a load of you know what.

It depends on the type of Teflon. The original kind needs high heat, but other kinds don't.

From what I understand, the main demonstrable benefit of Teflon added to a wax is it helps lubricate application.



Beyond that, its probably marketing.

I saw the new Dupont "Teflon" wax products at the store last week. They had a big display to promote these new products.
