dupont teflon tire dressing!

There is no cure!
i was at the local autoparts store and i was gonna reach for a can of stoners mslt that i have been put off using for a while now because of the overspray issue i get from it light slinging, but when i couldnt find it at advance auto parts i just decided id get any dressing and just make sure to buff it off. i looked at the teflon tire shine and i remember noticing it a couple of times but never piking it up because i havent heard it much online or anything. i bought it for 6.99 and i must say that it has to be one of the best if not the best u can get locally. i cleaned my wheels and tires with A2Z since i havent washed my tires in like a month and after quick detailing the car i applied the tire dressing. its not a greasy oily mess, its actually quite liquidy and milky and easy to apply. u have to wait like 10 minutes tho because it takes a bit for the milky drops to actually soak into the bubber. after 15 minutes without buffing i decided to give it a test run and to see if it was gonna sling or not. that way i can avoid having to notice it later on and not be able to quik detail the slinging spots. i drove at about 85mph down a lonely road surrounded by trees (in homestead for those of u who are wondering why it says i live in miami. i was at my grandmothers house and homestead is 20 minutes fom south miami. anyways. sorry for that). i got back home and i looked at the tires. the tires looked awesome. a nice satin like finsh, slightly glossy and very black. i looked to the wheel well, side panels. NOTHING. no sling at all. not one drop. i was gonan immediately post on it and decided to do a search on this and noticed not many people have posted reviews on it. probably like 3 people. all of which gave it and awesome rating...

for those of u who ahvent tried it and have run out of BnB i suggest giving this a try. u won't regret it.

as for longetivity i wouldnt know except for that its been a day and it looks better than it did yesterday.

I am one of those who really like this stuff. It's great, cheap, locally available, doesn't sling, yadda-yadda. I probably won't use anything else to dress my tires with now.

now since it says dupont teflon, does that mean its pretty durable, especially when it rains?

I personally don't buy into the Teflon spill, but I have had it on over a week and the tire is still clean and has a dark black look to it. It has rained heavy on it once, and a light rain today. If I can remember I will try to post a pic of it before I clean my truck again.

Jeff Gordon dressing his own tires. LOL :lol

Navindra, I put some on before the heavy rains here in CA, and after two days, it had completely worn off. It gives a nice satiny finish (as others have pointed out) and it does last fairly long, (under no rain conditions). I got about three weeks out of it when it wasn't raining. Easy to use, and widely available. I just wish i could find it in Gallon sizes....
