Dupont Car Care Products

One nice thing about them is you should be able to cook your breakfast on your hood when done. I think that alone is worth the price :D

Seriously they may be decent products but, don't be fooled by their marketing, teflon isn't going to do a thing for your paint.

:welcome to Autopia. If you read around, here, you'll find some great information and suggestions on products and methods to achieve whatever results you desire for your car. Whether that be the longest lasting protection, the deepest wet-look shine, or the removal of paint swirls.

In general, people stick with tried and true product lines which are often "botique," "professional," or "high end." With few exceptions, over the counter products such as the Dupont ones you mentioned are not normally seen as the "best" for your money.

That said, however, new product assessments are always welcomed. Once you become familiar with some of the qualities enthusiasts look for in products, a well-written analysis is great--and one with pictures is even better.

The Dupont stuff you got is new, and not likely to be one that folks here are rarin' to run out and try. Not because it is necessarily bad stuff, but mostly because it seems geared more toward the regular guy and not the true enthusiast. Teflon additives have been discussed, in the past, with regard to other products. Do a search and you will find that the general consensus is Teflon is useless unless heated to some ridiculously high temperature where it can bond. Therefore, most consider it a gimmick.

Depending on how much you invested in these products, and what you hope to accomplish, you won't hurt anything by trying them out. But give it a little time here, and you'll probably be itching to try a bunch of other things with funny acronyms.

Have fun!

Ok, ok, Im going to take a stab....I bought the Spray wax, for my RV, fig'd it would be fast and easy. Can use wet or dry, similiar to EO WAUD, which i enjoy, but wishes it lasted a lil longer. I used it on the RV, but only did one side, being as i didnt feel like doing another 25ft, then the front, then the rear. Expectations were low, but i was pleasantly surprised at ease of use, and final product. The product is real thick when sprayed, speads well, and wipes away even easier.

So curiosity was getting to me, alright, i tried it on my truck, which is covered with 2x WG. I really have to admit, even with the spray wax, my truck went thru a week without QD'ing, and the dust to this day is even at a minimal, its pretty slick on the truck ! Its in my bag of tricks.......
