Dull Fade on my truck

Will this stuff work to bring the normal shiny look back to the paint like everywhere else on my truck?

that product is actually a glaze and it might work for a very short time

or until it rains .... a very temporary solution



the best way to take car of it is a machine and an abrasive polish

I am working with a dull fade on my truck that is like a small size circle. All I need to know is if that Meguiar's polish will work.

paint does not usually fade in small circles

so we think you have some other problem

Well the fade started showing after I used some rubbing compound on a small scratch above the passenger door handle. I just need to get the fade out.
 
You need a polish with mild abrasives to remove it. Deep Crystal Polish has chemical cleaners only and won't fix the problem - you can either try Scratch X, or a better option would be to post on "The Trading Post" part of the forums and see if anyone has 4oz or so of "1Z MP" to sell to you.



Rub it in firmly for 30-40 seconds with a terry towel, then wipe off and rub in another application with light pressure for 30-40 seconds with a foam wax pad or microfiber towel.

ok maybe we are getting some where now



did you cause the dullness with the compound?



if so it either need a finner polish to bring the gloss back

or

a some paint work if you removed too much paint



are you working by hand?
 
Your not going to use scratch-x but you used turtle wax rubbing compound, and by hand which makes it even that much more likely to cause damage. Your ideal products for hand use only are scratch-x or the 1Z polish mentioned above. Otherwise buy a flex, pc, udm, or rotary and and get to work.

I haven't had any luck with that. In my experiences, it sucks.
