DUB show 08 and a Maserati drop *56K*

First up is a Maserati that we did a few weeks ago—the car was purchased used and needed a bit of TLC. We also installed paint protection film to the hood, fenders, front bumper, door cups, door edges, and rear splash guards.



The pant was corrected with the following:



Meguiars #105/yellow meguiars polishing pad/1500 RPm’s

PO106FF/white LC LP pad/PC speed 6

Sealed with Collinite 845



Wheels were machined polished with NXT all metal polish via rotary and anassortment of spot pads

These shots were taken during, you can see the lips starting to brighten up.

Here’s a full shot of the car before—it’s silver so not much to see really. Under halogens it was pretty rough, but very hard to capture with my point and shoot.

A few shots of the film—I tried to get a shot where you could see the line. If you look close you will see the film.

Here is a quick shot of the interior. We steamed, vacuumed, etc. It was a typical convertible—very dusty.

These cars were all detailed for the Dub show—we worked about 100 hours the week before to get everything ready. The day of the show we were exhausted, but we toughed it out and answered detailing questions all day!



This is a 67 Lincoln that we were able to used for the show—we detailed half of the paint and took it to the show as a demo. The paint was all original (did I mention that it was thin and had been buffed before?), so we had to tread lightly. The paint is not swirl-free, but it looks *much* better than what we started with.

He's a guy that I have known for a while through being into cars--he had the first dumped Accord on 19's around town back in the day. Back when 18's were big on those cars if you remember(not sure of your age). He also use to try and steal my gf back in the day, though he denies it. Really good dude, knows cars like no one else, can tell you any bolt pattern on any car, and a heck of a detailer too.



That is just a 3" backing plate with a white cyclo pad. The BP might be a little larger than that, but I would have to search for the link--got it from TOL though I belive that most of the big online vendors carry them. We used NXT all metsal polish on the steering wheel.
