dsms detail - Tahoe Gloss

Nothing to special, just a daily driven Tahoe which needed some TLC.

Paint Process

CWG/Z7 wash

Clay

Gloss It 1 step machine polish via Cyclo

Gloss Finish sealant x2 via Flex

No befores. Once the swirls were polished out the finish really began to pop, nice color IMO.

The final product...

Thanks for looking:thumb:

Great job !!!

It looks like the same Silver Birch Metallic that's on my 06 SIlverado, great color for keeping clean :up

Not sure what it looked like before, but it's looking mint now! Boy does that seem like alot of paint real-estate... good work!

Nice job, I'm still playing with the gloss it stuff and trying to figure it out.

How exactly are you applying the sealant? I know that's a dumb question but I tried it the other day and got a lot of streaking.

Rich told me to work it in harder and longer and it seemed to do the trick but what's your approach?

I always use the PC when waxing/sealing.

At first I tried applying the Gloss Finish by hand like I did Zaino using a soft MF applicator but it streaked quite a bit and I wasn't able to spread it thin. I now use the Flex w. a LC blue final finishing pad (non CCS) on speed 1 or 2 using back and fourth motion. I find that I use less product compared to hand application with the Flex and I'm able spread it very thin and evenly across the finish with no problems. Try the same method with your PC, using a non CCS pad is my preference for a smoother more fluid spread of the sealant. And I think a blue or red LC pad is the only way to go, IMO even the black pad isnt soft enough to apply a sealant.

BTW I just ordered one of those Polishing Pal's from AG and im going to see if I can spread gloss finish by hand using the polishing pal and a red LC, might be a time saver if you dont wanna break out the PC. I'll keep you updated on how that works out. :xyxthumbs
