Clayed w. fine clay

Paint wasnt too bad. Corrected with medium cut polish on the new PC, finished down with the metabo. Inside shots were useless on the white finish, waited until I got some sun shots in the after pics.

Wheels were hand polished and sealed with 3 coats of AJT, tires dressed matte

Glass firewall cleaned as well, you can see the supercharger spool behind your head, pretty neat.

Thanks for looking

Beautiful car, and awesome results! :wow:

You certainly deserve to have worked on serial #1. It'll make a nice add-on to the stories you tell, years down the road.

Anyway, you made that white paint look like liquid glass, and thanks for sharing!

Oh yeah, I especially like the healthy, matte finish on the interior.

What did you use to clean/dress it?

great work Dave - truly turned into a show-car.

Isn't that VIN # 195 though? did Ford do something different with the GT?

I dont know a thing about ford VINs, all I know is that this car is the first one in production for 2005, first year they made the car.

Well I see that someone doesn't want to come to my next, next birthday party either... :D. Is it just me or do the 512 and the GT have strikingly similar silhouettes?

Great work, Dave and I'm happy to see such beautiful steel in deserving hands like yours ;).

Beautiful work Dave! Having had the pleasure of detailing a few of these (one of my customers has 3 of them) I truly appreciate the level of work that goes in to working on one of these. If you ever have a chance to ride in one, do so! Hearing the turbo spool, especially with a Heffner kit is amazing!

Cant hear a turbo "spool" on a supercharged car unless its turbo modified but it still sounds great stock. The supercharger whine was enough for me when I drove this, the plexi firewall is great too because you can see the SC belt spin behind your head!

My bad. You know where I was going with it. lol. My one client has one that's been modified by Jason Heffner and being in it is like being in another world. The term rocket ship seems to come to mind.

In a past job I work for a company that did product testing for GM. Those pre-production cars all had VINs, and were 95% of what the actual production was. So my guess is GT VIN #01 is in some Ford warehouse, and #02-94 were test models, this was the first sold to the public.
