A little fender bender, there was some paint transfer that came off easy when polishing, couldnt do much about the deep scratches though

After a quick rinse I foamed the car with Z7 and let it dwell for a couple minutes. Then used the 2 bucket and mitts while using the foam gun w/Z7 also.

First time using the boars hair extension brush, very soft.

DSC02818.jpg

I worked on the wheels first before everything else they were a mess. Tons of brake dust and road tar.

DSC02786.jpg

DSC02788.jpg

Started cleaning w/ Megs safe-D cut 3:1, let it dwell for a while and used a couple brake dust remover sticks. After that came the EZ detail brush to get behind the spokes.

Cleaned the face and between spokes with theh swissvax brush(new favorite wheel tool)

DSC02800.jpg

Re-rinsed and applied P21s gel and let it sit for about 10minutes before doing a final scrub with the lambswool brush. Went back later with autoglym intensive tar remover to remove the remaining tar but very little came off.

M105 finished down very nicely, little suprising for such a heavy compund. After correction came an IPA wipedown before Final polish which was 106ff w/ green ccs pad. The car was wipedown again and then I applied 3 coats of Z5pro ZFX'd (cured 20mins between each coat) applyed by CG MF applicator in straight lines followed by Z-CS and Z8

Lookin good Dsms. How was the LC Purple compared to the orange pad in cutting power?

Did you notice any hazing, hologram with the LC Purple / Megs 105 combo? Did you use a 2nd finishing step?

Thanks!

The purple wool I only used on the trunk basically to test it out. I was pretty impressed, it cut very nicely and really left no holograms either, I spurred the pad a few times though to prevent any gumming up. I finished the trunk same way as I did the rest of the car with 106ff and a green ccs. I went with green because its both a polishing pad and a finishing pad but the way M105 finishes down you really dont need a 3rd step in bewteen correction and finishing. Any minor swirls and marring M105 left behind 106ff took right out. The lights only got 106 btw.

Great job! What speed were you using with the Flex? You used the Flex Random Orbit correct and not the Rotary...?

3401, random orbital. With the M105 I spead on 1 and went to 6 straight away, with the 106ff I spread at 1 and moved to 4 for the first minute and then moved up to 6.

the lambswool is great, got it from top of the line, EZ brush from ag and the SV one is from DD.
