Last, BMW 650. Owner of the S550's wifes car. I dropped of his Merc and he handed me the keys to her BMW . This ones interior was pretty bad. Heavily soiled leather and carpets that needed a lot of attention. Paint was in very good shape however, fine swirls and very little bonded contaminants. Some areas measured close to 290microns! The cars clear averaged 150-170 microns if I recall correctly but some areas were clearly thicker than others. Leather needed more than Z9 so I used LM strong cleaner and the convertible got the Raggtopp treatment.

The carpets were a mess. I started with a thorough brush and vacuum. Then came the LGM with Folex as solution. That got out a good portions of the stains but no where near perfect. Followed up with 303 Spot remover in some areas then Megs APC+ 4:1 hand scrubbed and re-extracted with the LGM. Followd that with a vacuum then re-shampooed with Folex and left to sit for 20minutes, agitated and then pressure washed with the Kacrher at 1800psi, re-extracted then vacuumed and presto!

Presentation is everything...

DSC03579.jpg

Not terrible but way above the average readings I was getting

DSC03585.jpg

After 106ff on a white ccs at 1500rpm. This was the best 106ff has ever worked for me. It broke down super smooth on this paint and I got "zero" dusting for the first time in 20+cars using it. I think making the switch to a rotary helped to show the full potential of SIP and 106FF.

For sure a grueling 3 days but the customers were all happy so I was happy.

Anyways thanks for looking. Good night guys.

What did you end up using the steel wool for? I didn't see it mentioned.

Also where did you pick up the Noxon 7?

I have to tell you, I really really really like the way you went the extra mile by arranging the things of the owner. That's a really great job there. You gave me an insight how to provide extra satisfaction at no cost.

Great great job, mate!

I've found that its the little extra things in a detail that really make a customer happy. Sure the paint will shine and the leather will be cleaned but its to be expected from a complete detail. Re-organizing her trunk(including folding up dirty gym towels) and bagging all of her personal items according to category, lets them know you went the extra mile. For example all money and change found in the interior goes in 1 bag and dry cleaning tickets and reciepts in another. I also love to spray a light scented Febreeze on the carpets and in the trunk just to make the car have a more pleasent enviorment when they get in for the first time and next time she opens her trunk which may be days later she will be left with the scent of febreeze and see all of her items neatly stored and organized. My goal is to created a lasting impression on every car I return to a customer. I've found Women especially are very responsive to smells, and not so much the intoxicating smell of Zaino leather products! I also bag up all customers change and tell them to take it to coinstar or commerce bank and get cash for it, that usually puts a smile on their face.:har:
