drying w/ Quick detailer?

My most popular package is my "Quick Shine" package. It's basically a hand wash but I do tire shine, rain-x, and some type of quick detailer. I currently use Meg Final Touch, but I'm looking to try something else. Does anyone know a good one to use that you spray on the car before drying the car? I usually dry the car completely then do the Final Touch last. I was hoping there would be a way to dry and shine at the same time to eliminate one long step. I would still dry the glass, chrome, and wheels completely, but just not the body of the car. Thanks!

Do you dilute it 1 to 1 or leave it full strength? Does this help speed up your process? Thanks
 
I tend to just use it neat. I have 5 gallon canisters of it, so wont be running out for a while! LOL



I terms of speeding up the process, I wouldn't say that it makes drying the car any faster, but if you usually qd after drying it certainly will speed this up as you can qd while you dry.
 
I just recently started doing this, and was pleased with the results. I have tried several different QD'ers, and really liked the result with Poorboys Spray & Gloss, Quickshine, or FK1 425 and Adams. These seemed to really give great shines. But I also tried Megs #34, and Eagle One, and they performed nicely. I really like the way the MF towel glided over the surface with the QD added.

yes FK1's 425

and Duraglass's Aqua Wax

both work well for this



actually aqua wax was made just for that

is cheap and works well!

Neat also means "Pure, Unadulterated" So no dilution.



I've never done this process, I just might have to try it.
 
For that "wax as you dry" moments - I would recommend either Mother's FX spray wax or Duragloss AW. Both can be applied while the car is wet...extremely convenient and fast.
 
But just for the record, I used AW on a slightly wet-from-drying 07 Camry roof the other day, and it streaked like no other. Had to wait a little while then go back with a dry Cobra polishing towel and buff quite a bit... it was still hazed, but the haze disappeared within a few minutes. Sort of strange.
 
I haven't used AW while the car was still wet. The Eagle One WAUD seems pretty nice though as a touch up while drying. But I think the QD as you dry serves a slightly different purpose than waxing.

Neat is a term meaning straight, not diluted



if you order a shot of liquor you can order it over or neat / up

Indeed. Personally I'll shoot the towel I'm using with some QD before blotting up water from a wash in order to reduce the chances of marring from the towel.

That's exactly why I started doing it. I figured the shampoo gives lubrication while washing, but there was no slickness except for the water while drying. What's great is even the inexpensive QD's seem to work just as well, so it won't break the bank.
 
I wash with Optimum No Rinse and then spray Optimum Car Wax on the car before drying. It takes very little, looks great, and has good durability.
 
I use Prima Hydro right now, its a wax as you dry product. It works for me, I like it. It can also be used as a QD on a dry car.
