Drying careful....

I use CWB on windows only and Absorber just went on the shelf.

Everybody likes to do things their way hence the differences in drying techniques. IMO as long as your car stays swirl free it's all good.;)

Does anyone else still use cotton towels to dry?

I currently use a large bath towel to get the majority of the water up. I then use two smaller hand towels. One I use for the windows and one to get drips that come out of all those annoying places (mirrors, door handles, trim, emblems, etc.)

For the window towel I use one side to get the majority of the water off and then flip to the other side to buff to a streak free finish. Works all the time on windows!

The thing I like is I don't have to be wringing out any chamois or worrying about dragging dirt with a CWB and cotton towels are cheaper than MF :)

I take the bath towel and just blot it on the paint and can cover huge sections. My smaller cotton towels are extremely soft but I still blot the water drops that drip out. It works great. When the towels are wet I just put the aside and grab a fresh dry one.

That's what I do... I grab a large bath cotton towel, (almost as large as a beach towel), fold it in half, place it flat on horizontal panels, blot the towel's surface, then when I lift the towel, it's 95% dry. MF blot the little droplets.

For a carwash, though... wherein 90% customers' cars may never have tasted wax throughout its lifespan, a blade is a godsend coz no matter what you towel you use to dry the dirty paint, you'll get blotches, streaks and all other annoying water-related leftovers.

I'll still use cotton, but usually just the WW microfiber. I could NEVER get all the water with the "regular" MF towels so I stuck with Charismas until I got the WW's. Still use them if it's an area that might not be totally clean
