Dressing Up Cayman Engine

I guess I missed this incredible thread while on our detailing trip, and I'm sure glad it was brought back!

Awesome work, documentation, and write-up. Not only top-notch detailers, but top-notch custom work as well. Good to see and hear business is going well for you guys down there

Dude, that is awesome. I bet there are quite a few Cayman owners that would love to have this done if they seen the final results.

Great work.:xyxthumbs

Anthony,

Great job. I've got a Boxster - same engine compartment - and haven't detailed the engine compartment for fear of getting water / cleaning products into the cabin. I've tried masking off the cabin with plastic but it didn't look very well sealed and I gave up the effort. How did you do it?

Thanks for your help and getting me motivated to try again,

Dave Sirota

Hello Dave and thank you.

We utilize steam vapor cleaners to clean engines instead of water....yes steam is still water but being in vapor form there is very little standing water left behind and the splashing of water on other areas is of no concern.

I've been using a vapor steamer now for at least 6 years or longer and we still find ways to utilize this tool in our day to day operations. Best money we have spent.

MuttGrunt, Sixty7 and Rasky....

Thank you very much for the encouraging compliments! Business is good, things are a bit slow because it's just that time of the year but we are doing far better then expected, which is a blessing!
