Dressing trim

What do you all put on exterior trim pieces. I don't want to use the same dressing i use on the inside cause i dont want it to run or get all over the paint when it rains. Shiny, or matte(spell) finish, it doesnt matter, just something that will not run onto paint. thanks

Most dressings will run to some extent. To prevent them from running, wipe all the excess off after letting it absorb. I like Stoner's Trim Shine.

CG New Look Trim Gel is the ONLY dressing I use on exterior trim. Works great on tires as well. This stuff has never run on me during rain storms or washings. Get's my vote every time.

Wurth rubber care is what i use for trim.. Leave a nice black shine, no glare/glossy..

I applied it, wait for 15 minutes and wipe it...

Poorboy's Trim Restorer works pretty well for me. In my last order Danase threw in a small sample of some new trim gel he is coming out with pretty soon that I liked very well too. It was a little easier to apply since it is a gel. I tried some Z-16 on the front bumper and some of Danase's new trim gel on the back bumper of a Caravan, and I liked the looks and longevity of the gel better.

Stoners Trim Shine is horrible, it runs like crazy and lasts about a day. I think its just silicone spray like you find at the hardware store. (not that I think silcone is bad for anything, I just dont think it works very well on trim)

What product would you recommend for this task? In my experience Trim Shine is very easy to use, and lasts much longer than "a day". It does run a little when exposed to rain and water. Wiping off the excess prevents too much running.

I use AIO topped with the paste wax that I'm using on the car to wax with. AIO does absolute wonders on mirror housings and basically any non porous surface.

If there is a lot of plastic and I want to save time, I really, really like Klasse Vinyl, Leather, Rubber & Plastic-Cleaner/Protectant as well as Hi Temp Bumper Renew
