DP Detailer’s All In One Headlight Restoring Polish REVIEW

I decided to use Detailer’s All In One Headlight Restoring Polish on my 2006 Honda Element since the headlights were a little foggy and the lights didn't seem to shine as bright as they used to.

As you can see a fogged up headlight can make the car look dirty and it can make it hard to see at night.

I used a Rupes LHR 75E Mini Random Orbital Polisher with a Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Blue Coarse Foam Pad. Make sure to cover the foam pad with the Detailer’s All In One Headlight Restoring Polish.

Not much pressure is needed to clean the headlights. Just go over the area 5- 6 times, and wipe away the rest with a microfiber towel.

Instant difference!

I don't think the headlights have looked this good since it pulled out of the factory line!

I also used the Detailer’s Headlight Protectant Spray to keep the headlights protected from further abuse from the elements.

This stuff is amazing! I used it on headlights of an older truck using the foamed wool pad that comes in the kit on an electric drill. Like new again in about 15 minutes! Coated with Black Label Surface Coating for protection.

Thanks for the replies! This process takes very little time to do, about 15 minutes, and the outcome was unbelievable! Great product!

Whats different about this polish then just using a traditional polish for paint?

Whats different about the "headlight protectant", then just traditional sealants?

Thats a great question and one that I posed sometime back. I never really got an answer. I would like to see someone do a 50/50 comparison of the DP vs something like M105. I currently use Ultimate Compound on a yellow B&S 4" pad and get great results. The DP Polish cost considerably more and I just won't to know if it is really worth the extra cost.

Plastic-specific abrasives that are going to cut more and finish nicer on the surface they're designed for (polycarbonate). DP All In One Headlight Restoring Polish is also much easier to work with compared to paint compounds (like 105) when used on headlights.

Same thing with the headlight protectant spray. It was DESIGNED for polycarbonate surfaces. The UV inhibitors are different than those found in spray waxes for paint, and so are other necessary ingredients that allow the product to properly adhere to the desired surface (polycarbonate).

There's nothing wrong with using 105 or w/e compound you have closest to you to restore headlights, but a product designed specifically for that application is going to work much better and also yield superior results.
