Door jambs

Car Detailing Whore
I know this comes up from time to time, but I simply would like new input.

My current method for door jambs is to take a chenille washpad and wash them out at the end of my wash stage, same with the trunk hinge area and the engine hinge area.

My question is how do the rest of you go about this? I have noticed that my current method is rathe ineffective at best. I usually end up with water getting inside the car, and even then the actual paint only looks marginally clean.

I use Spray & Wipe (little extra) and the terry towels. I then follow with Spray & Wipe and a MF and then some cleaner wax and then whatever I wax the rest of the car in.

before i wash the car i spray the jambs with apc to get all that grease &grime out of the hinge area. then i wash the jambs with the pressure washer . carefully avoiding the interior as much as possible.. the i blow out the jambs with air after i dry the car ,, then i use quick detailer to shine up the jambs looks great .. if you can get some aerosol dressing. spray the rubber boots and other black plastic parts with it .. looks awesome the stuff i get is p&s no rub polish $8.00 a can .. you know if the jambs look bad .. thats the one thing they see every time they get in the car ..good luck:dj :dj

I use the "bigron62 approach" to remove most of the buildup while the car is still in the wash bay. Later, I 'detail' the jams, but it is so much easier when the bulk of the dirt is gone! (Duh?)
