Does this sound fair for a detail?

Kronk - - The older lady with a little driven ten year old Taurus will be favorable impressed with different things than the 40 y.o. business exec with a $100,000 sedan, and different yet for the car nut with a near perfect $150,000+ two-seater.

The lady has spent a lifetime cleaning her house, and her eyeballs and nose will be tuned to that. Shiny paint, very clean glass and mirrors, dust free interior (including the vents), carpet all brushed in the same direction, a newly cleaned smell.

When you deliver each car watch the customer closely and make note of what they are looking for. Ask for permission to contact them in a day or two for feedback on your work. In my opinion, as a person who has never detailed a car for money, detailing is more about customer relations than it is about car cleaning in most cases - especially at the lower priced end of the scale.

Good luck with your new business. Have fun and make money!
