Does polishing in 37* weather differ than say 70*'s?

Well, I'm still semi-new to paint correction. With that said, I havent had the opportunity to polish in weather warmer than 45*.



I haven't really had a problem using OC for scratches and swirls, they usually come out realatively easy.

However, when I go to say XMT1 or 2, and an orange Edge pad, it seems like the hazing and micromarring won't come out! I'm wandering if the temperature has something to do with it because it seems like the polish just isn't completely breaking down.



Basically, will polish break down easier/faster in warmer weather?
 
I dont really think any product is engineered to perform flawlessly under even 50 deg's. Your going to have better luck in the 70 deg's range, just for the fact that thats how they are designed. Is it possible to polish and seal/wax under 50 deg's? Sure, but just be forwarned, its not as easy as warmer temps. Its just the nature of the best.
 
Well that's good to hear. I've done quite a few cars this winter in the garage, and they've all come out well. With that said, there was a lot of work put into the final polishing stages because the polished just wouldn't break down.



At least now when spring comes, polishing will be even easier!
 
I've noticed that Optimum Compound (old version) tends to dust a little and Meguiars #83 DACP dusts more when it is under 45 degrees, other than that, I haven't had any actual reduction in product performance in colder weather. For me personally, though, I hate any temperatures under around 70-75. :(
 
I just got through polishing my slate grey metalic 996 in the garage with temps around 50 and it looks pretty darn good to my eye. Of course with polish, I suspect the friciton takes care of the heat issue to some degree. I'm now getting ready to Klasse SG and top with P21, and I'm wondering if I should wait until its warmer. What do you think? I've never used either product before. One other question, once the car is completely polished and ready to be sealed and waxed, is there any harm in waiting a week or two if the car just sits in the garage? I know I'd need to dust it off prior to applying the first layer, but other than that any harm?
 
i know that i noticed with zaino z5pro, in really cold(45 and below) it is much harder to remove. it seems is hardens, and it will not come off!
