Does Klasse AIO need time to cure?

No need for QD just use plain water. You do not need to apply the HGSG thin also. Just do it as you the AIO. Waiting couple minutes before wiping off helps if you do not apply the product thin. When the product is some what wet on the car's surface (due to thick application), waiting helps it to dry and this makes it easy to wipe off. If you have problem getting the product off, just spritz some water.

Sounds good - I'll use distilled water next time.

I used QD to help with the removal - makes things much easier, but I did wait for the SG to cure for about 4 hours on the car before removing. Would spraying Water on the MF be enough of a lubricant to not hinder removing all of the newly applied SG off the car?

I prefer this approach over dressings in most (~90%) cases. No streaking/running in the rain, lasts for months, nice satin-black look.

I started LSPing my black trim back when I was using a car cover on my Jag...dressings transferred to the cover, making for a nasty mess. Also, I got tired of having to redo them every few weeks. Now I just KSG (or UPP spray sealant) them and all I have to do is wash for months on end. A quick spritz of FK425/etc. after each wash adds a little bit and is quick and easy while drying the vehicle.

I'll see how well the black WOW performs. If it doesn't hold up I will try SG on some of the surfaces - would be great if it worked well. Thanks for the tip!

Well, I thought I would post some pics. This is after 2 coats of Klasse SG. I'm really impressed so far. Keep in mind, this is a 1997 car (12 y.o.)

I did extensive surface prep with Clay, Poorboys SSR 2.5 and then SSR 1, Then Klasse AIO. Then 2 coats of Klasse SG 1 day apart each. All is not finished though...have to touch up the rear exhaust and at least one more coat of SG.

Then after that I'll have to do the X5 and "detail" the driveway :faint:

Oh, the headlights went through some exhaustive refinishing with sandpaper then PlastX and SSR 1 (I actually took them apart as they were fogging up (water was creeping in) and needed to be resealed - partly I think because of the vibrations from my PC. When I had the lens off I really went for it - 600 grit wet sandpaper then again PlastX and SSR1 - I'm glazing the lights too btw.)

Please tell me what you think.

psychadelic- That looks good :xyxthumbs I don't really like KSG on every paint, but it's really nice on yours.

Thanks! It looks even better in real life... couldn't put the third coat on today as it's raining and my garage is too small to risk working around paint, but can't wait to do it - I think I may actually put 4 coats just to protect the car well.

I'm starting to think that the bad rep Klasse SG gets is because people apply it too thick - easily done if you use a regular foam applicator, but if you use what I did (Polishin’ Pal + 4" Black LC Pad) it's very easy to spread it thinly. It's also not messy as you don't get the SG on your hands. I highly recommend it.

Now, if I could only loose the front license plate... backwards law in Ontario requires one. :(

QD can sometimes cause oily haze. Using water direct or via microfiber will be fine and I do not think will remove SG. You do not need much, just enough to wipe off SG is sufficient.

I saw the pictures and the car looks very good :goodjob

Do they actively enforce that? Here in Ohio it's a "selective enforcement" kind of thing...if you're in certain demographics you're more/less likely to get cited for it. I've *never* had a problem even when I was popped for moving violations.

Thanks Elka,

I tried using water but found that using QD (I used Mothers Showtime QD for this) seemed to do a better job taking the product off - I only sprayed it on a MF towel and not directly on the surface.

I do believe they enforce it. I never actually tried driving without one as am afraid of getting a ticket for it. All cars registered here have it.
