Does DG501 have any swirl-removing abilities or just cleaning?

Just curious if I'm going to need to bring in a megs MF finishing disc and some d301 for some light swirl removal or would DG501 be ok? I'm thinking it won't be but wanted to defer to those who have more experience. It's a 2008 Hyundai Sonata with light swirls, overall paint in nice shape.
 
It has some very very mild abrasives, but really the pad is going to do most of the work. I wouldn't expect any correction results with it, at best its good to clean up light marring from claying.
 
ok thanks for the input. Now, on the reverse side, how about using the MF kit w/ the D301 to do the swirl removal, will the MF disc help the d301 clean anything close to the DG501?
 
I haven't used D301, but I'd be cautious with it as Megs stuff is loaded with fillers, you might get good results, that don't last.
 
Dan is right about 301 - I'd look for something more potent to remove light swirls Something like HD POLISH 3D Car Care; Car Wash, Car Wax, Auto Detailing supplies, Car Polishers, Car Buffers & accessories store



Unless you already have something at home - what type of car is it and color?

This one is a 2008 Hyundai Sonata. Golden sand. Paint really good overall.



Would HD Polish or Speed be a better choice? If so which one? The color hides swirls well, but it's not been washed very often. I got it at 1 year old and used megs nxt2. Lightened the color a lot, so it was pretty dirty.



It's sitting in my garage, clayed this am, just waiting for the next step!
 
To me HD POLISH is the finest and deepest looking final polish with very good cut if needed, so naturally I will say go for it. HD SPEED is a mix of HD POLISH & HD POXY. Look wise SPEED wins because of the POXY. SPEED doesn't cut as much as POLISH. Make sure you use a good protectant.
 
Nice pics! When you say 'protectant you mean an LSP? I'm not looking to get this car to showroom and I really need to get it done asap. Thinking SPEED might be my best overall choice, on a white pad probably?
 
Yes white pad will work very well. Yes LSP. If you are going to spend X amount of time on the truck, wouldn't you want the best look? :) I mean it should still look "very good" even if you spend just a little time on it.

I do have a couple of black LC pads, would these be the same? I think LC classes them as a finishing pad though. I have several LC pad colors though, red, blue, black and orange.
 
Black pad form LC is fine, same yes
