Does BFWD dust for you?

I've used BFWD on (3) different vehicles:Magnesium Chrysler 300,Champange Chrysler LHS,Black TransAm and had no dusting.

I'm about half way through my first bottle if BFWD.

I think whatever dusting people are be getting may be from laying it on a little to thick and / or the towel being used to buff it off may be a little full of the buffed off product... i ran into this issue (even thought not a big issue) the first couple of times i used it until i found an applicator and towel combo i liked...

just my 2 cents

I actually got a sample that i used on my black DD. I have only used it once and it went to well I purchased it based on the sample. I have not used it since but I did not have any dusting and it went on and off very easy. I did apply 2 coats and I did them very thin.

Everything that hazes up is wasted and the thinner the coat (assumiong ful coverage) the better for ease removal no matter what LSP. I tried the wowo method and had minor streaking. For the next coat i let it cure and it came off clean!

I hope my experience helps you correct your application method because I have never had my car so slick. No, it they could make BFWD in a WOWA I would be there in a second!

Knowing that Dubbin1 knows how to apply a sealant (thin) the only conclusion would be that for what ever reason his mf is just not picking up the little dust that BFWD might leave behind. In the video it just moves it around instead of picking it up. You see a clean surface and with another swipe there is dust. Can't see how a clean surface can produce dust unless your just moving it around. I'm sure if he flipped the towel or even getting a clean mf the dust would not be so noticeable. BTW I'm with the majority on no dust with BFWD.

The towel I used was a clean MF towel when I started the video ;)

Dubbin, does the BFWD dust every time you apply it or just sometimes?

I have applied it on a whole car a few times now and it has dusted every time. I have also tested it on panels several times, heavy, thin, med the whole works and I still get dust. Keep in mind that I am doing this on dark colors so maybe the dust is just sticking out more for me then it does for others.

I even did a side by side with WGDGPS, the WG side no dust, the BFWD side dust.

Again I really don't care if it dusts or not as long as I'm left with a smooth shiny surface. Other then the dust I am perfectly happy with BFWD.

Very curious. I haven't seen any dust yet on my black car. At least for me, the residue has buffed off cleanly. (I am now allowing the WD to dry for 45 minutes or so.)

I have to think there must be some environmental conditions that are affecting the product--humidity? temperature? alien radar emissions?

You might try WOWO (panel by panel) and see if you continue to get the problem.

I'm sure one of the Hogwarts magic manuals has a spell that will eliminate the dusting. I'll have my daughter ring up Hermione Granger ... :)

I'm thinking you may have something with the aliens causing the problems.
