Does anyone use spray sealants after every wash?

At some point (no more than 8-9 months) you would probably want to strip down and start from scratch.

First of all, you are going to need to clay at some point to remove surface contaminants and most clay will remove some/all of the layers of sealant.

Second - in spite of how good a job you do of washing you are probably sealing some grit/contaminant in with all the layers of sealant that you are adding. At some point you would want to clay/polish/clean the paint to get it back to a pristine surface before starting to build up layers of sealant again via the seal after every wash approach.

Thanks, that makes sense.

I tend to use Meg's Xpress Liquid wax, Meg's NXT Booster wax or FK425 depending on what shape the surface is in.

If I have a fresh coat of Natty's or any other carnauba based wax that is in good shape, I use Pinnacle Crystal Mist.

I've found no negative effects of doing the spray boosters or waxes after a wash. I don't do it every wash, but so long as I have time it sure makes me feel good and make the car look great.

I'd like to try OCW and Aquawax, but I can't find the AW locally and I'm waiting to get an order up.

I use Z8 after every wash on my wife's car. My beater was waxed in Feb with #26 and gets WAUD, OCW, or AW after every wash--holding up like a champ.

Ditto.

I Z7 wash, rinse, blot dry, and follow up with Z8 on both my and Liz's car. The Z Pro beads, looks, and feels (slick) as it was just applied :).

HGAS on the IS 300; supplemental to FMJ . . . the S4 receives FX-100 over No.16. Since starting my own firm in April, I’ve had VERY little time aside from regular washing. Both cars are slick and glossy :2thumbs:
