I used a very light abrasive polish bro. I`d be the opposite and worry about a chemical type polish/cleaner.

Pro polish has worked for me on plastic. (Even says it on the bottle)
After PP , I started wiping my plastic afterward on my Explorer with Colinite 845. Then going back with a MF towel wipe.(what else was i gonna do with it after FK1000P came to my house)
At furst, I tried bringing back my bleached grey flares on the Explorer with a mild abrasive.
The Shaker was probably already smooth but I`ve taken the rough finish off that flare polishing it with a mild abrasive. So be careful with textured plastic.
