Uh.... Correct! I was referring to 'between washing your car'. The California Duster is never supposed to be washed; just shaken out.

i ordered the california duster with the wooden handle off of e-bay $14.99 without shipping all together $20.35 seems to be a good price.

Update: duster arrived it's a nice item and i realy like the wood handle
i used it immediately upon arrival the mop head had a nice thick nap to it ,

I thought it might be a little heavy with the wood handle but that wasn't a problem you don't need to apply any pressure, i let the weight of the mop remove the dust and i used light strokes with even pressure.

there was no streaking or marring left behind by the mop head and it left a nice clean finish. after that i used PBs S & W followed by meguires spray wax. the directions for the california duster say's to use it on a cool surface, i'll have to wait and see how it performs in the summer months. Over all i'm happy with the purchase.

Dude! I lived in Tucson from 1973-1980. I miss "Eegees"!!! And; "Greasy Tony's"!!!

YUM!!!!!!

Me too:) I was there from '78-'82 and made frequent visits from California from '83-'88 just to eat at Greasy Tony's ....#38 no tomatoes and extra meat:yes:
the one in Pheonix I visited on my Honeymoon in '96 and the wife thought I was crazy, but she let me go anyway:D

Tony is a really strange guy, originally from the Princeton, NJ area where the first Greasy Tony's was, but for some strange reason, other than my 2am visits, always seemed to remember me

oh yeah this was about California Duster's ...used them a couple times and gave them away after I saw streaks and light scratches in the exact same direction I was making strokes.

Actually, I use three of them.
Two of the original wood handle ones, one of which is about 15 years old, and one of the "Super Dusters" that is larger and has yarn all the way around the handle.
They have been great for me, but don't use them on anything but a dusty car.

Charles

I also have 3. I dust the cars almost every day.
