Do you smell everything?

I buy mainly in bulk, and put everything in squirt (ketchup looking) bottles. I write on all the bottles what the product is. These bottles are also see thru. Some of the products look the same, smell different, like Diamond Cut, and DACP. When my writing wears off, I resort to the smell!

Dont' forget, just because we are humans doesn't mean we aren't animals. Take a look at your pets (except maybe fish) the first thing any animal does with a foreign object is smell it. I'm sure this action is just a hold over from our distant ancestors.

I don't go around sniffing butts though! hahaha

The sense of smell is hooked into the limbic area of the brain... the area that controls emotion. More so than any other sense, the sense of smell can profoundly effect how you feel about a product subconsciously.

I can't talk too much about that. I think I have sniffed everything in my arsenal. My fave, like Jngr's is Pinnacle Souveran. Right behind that is the grape Kool-Aid smell of Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel.

I wonder what my gf might say about that....:rofl

Wait a sec. You said this already. ;)

I have to raise my hand on this one too. Here recently, I find myself liking the smell of mothers back to black. Makes the interior smell new.:xyxthumbs

I am also guilty of the compulsive smell. :o

Over at a friend's house to clean the car, cracked open a fresh P21S, smelled it. He looks at me and asks "Why'd you smell it?" I told him to smell it, he does, and asks "What the heck does that matter?"

I had no answer of course. :nixweiss :D

My cousin used to run Turbo Blue racing fuel at $3.00 a gallon in his 5.0L Ranger. For better prformance? Nope, cause he "loves the smell." Me too so I never complained :D

I also love the smell of gas and the exhaust from my 2 cylce engine on my snowblower, leaf blower, and weed whacker!

:hm

Oooooookay, now we are skirting the hairy fringe of The Wonderful World of Solvent Sniffing! :nono

:lol :D

You all will like this. My sister and her fiance' comes over for pizza the other night. She walks around the house, then comes into the kitchen and says, "Why do you have car tree air fresheners hanging in the living room and kitchen?" I got one in the living room and one in the kitchen. I said cause they smell good!

I have a special place in my heart. for two strokes on racing gas

Brings back good memories , damn good memories:D

My nose has gotten a workout this week! Tuesday, my P21S stuff came in. Wednesday, myPoorboy's EX came in. Today, my Griot's car wash and #3 polish came! I went and got the Griot's off the porch, opened it up, and smelled the wash. My cousin said, "What was the point of that?" Then I offered him a smell and he got mad that I stuck it in his face. So then we go to the garage to put my new fragrences away and I tried to give him a hit off of some Poorboy's and he, again, got mad that I shoved it in his face. What is wrong with these non-detailer types?!?!?! I will not even get into his new Element he bought and had the nerve to park it in front of my house filthy!

Duragloss's Rubber/Vinyl Treatment smells real lemony. I used it when I first started my business, and whenever I smell something similar, it takes me back to those days.

This is why I can not use Mothers Qucik Detail cause it reminds me of this nasty medicine I took as a kid! :(

So far my favorite is EF Clear Pearl. Light fruity smell that I cant quite get enough of. Smell is best right after applying. I just kinda hover over the car and breath it in.....

Speaking of smells? Did Dave ever pick a scent for his sealant?
