Do you exercise?, if yes how?

 You can always take a nice bubble bath after a hard day of work.

I wish!!! I dont have a bathtub, just a shower!:(

BTW there are many types of yoga . I practice hatha yoga , its on the gentle side . There are some very rigerous types of yoga that are some real work outs . I prefer the gentle kind !

Bringham yoga is one the most intense ones I tried........your in a very heated room so your sweating buckets and toxins out of your sytem and warming the muscles at the same time. Very intense but very rewarding afterwards you feel like a million bucks !

My passion is lifting. I used to be much more dedicated to my workouts and my diet when I was in college and classes were easy. Then came a girlfriend and the real world and my workouts just arent the same. I still make it to the gym but they are not as intense as they were

I am getting back into it and feeling good but nowhere near where I was. I am not overweigh at all. Im 6'2" and about 200lbs give or take a pound or two. Im a big guy and pretty lean but over the past year and a half ive been "smoothing" out  but I have regained my enthusiasm for exercise.

Well not a trillion bucks , but hey ......you never know about something till you try it! Keep an open mind!

I happen to live in the yoga mecca of the country here so its common to see men that do it . But it is mainly women that are attracted to it for some reason. I guess guys feel like its not a manly or macho excercise... I dont know but I know lots of really macho looking guys that are into yoga and its not as easy as it looks thats for sure!

Thats why I mentioned that there are different types also to fit ones personality and ability .

RASKY you should really give it a try if your back pain doesnt get better!

I also have back problems you know what I'm going to give it a try any ideas where I can look up the exercise? So I can do it at home.

I always keep an open mind.:)

I will be starting yoga very soon... far to many benefits for me to not give it a shot!

Make no mistake though, after my yoga I will be eating red meat and I will be a driving a car powered by gasoline, not corn:wink:

This was the first link that came up on a google search for"backcare yoga"and I also have his other tapes so I know Rod lee is very good . Also you get used tapes very inexpensively .

There are many others too ,just do a search.

You can also look into your local YMCA or fitness center , they often offer yoga classes.

If you have the money and are really serious about it it you can hire a yoga teacher to do private lessons with you.

I work out to to a yoga video tape (hatha yoga)but I wont suggest the one I do because its a senoir yoga tape and probably not suited for you .Not that Im a senoir yet :D

I applaud you for being open!

DC, I heard people get "really" relaxed during yoga, and some people will let little "squeakers" out.....any truth to that? :D

Not that I have ever noticed Rasky !I would be careful what you eat before going to a public yoga class though:wink:

OK Exotic, you need to focus now :-t :D

You better not go to a public yoga class , Im not sure you could handle 20 women in a class and think it might push you over the edge ! But if thats what it takes to get you there , give it a try :D

Just a couple things I want to add about yoga. First its not a religion and anyone can practice it . It is so westerized now and mainstream its true origination and meaning has been changed over the years .Basically yoga now taught in the US is breathing , along with stretching the muscles and holding poses .There is usually a short mediation at the end where you lay still and quiet for a few minutes.

Also the woman in the video judging by her dreadlocks is probably Rastafarian and again there is no association with that and yoga.

Eating healthy and meditation go hand and hand with yoga but it is not necessary to do either.

Im not a yoga expert so anyone wanting to give it a try should really research the different kinds there are .

I cannot even begin to tell you how much its practice has changed my life for the better spiritually ,emotionally and physically. I very highly recommend it! It may not be for everyone but its definitely worth trying !

I was wondering what does everyone else tend to do to stay healthy.

I hate running but every once a week I go running is still cold thought. But I enjoy lifting weights :)

I hit the gym 4 or 5 days a week.

What's the best protein out there other than whey and what brand?

38 years old and I do a cycle spin/performance class 4 times a week for 90 minutes each class and hit the weights also.
