Do not use Mobile 1 in Atlanta

Hello all! I just wanted to post up a warning about an Atlanta area detailer that left serious swirl marks all over my vehicle. To this point they promised twice to come fix it but did not show or call, they said a check was in the mail a week ago and I still have not received it, they are screening calls so if I call on my phone they will not answer but if I call from a different phone they answer. I know they have great reviews online but I have figured out that the reviews are forged. Super nice people when you actually get them on the phone but when they think you are on hold they curse you. Since all this has happened I have also found out that they are pirating photos from other detailers and websites and claiming them as their work. So if you are looking for a detail do not trust Mobile 1 Detailing, or Colyn, Justin, and Jason. Hopefully someone else will read this and not fall victim like me.

Thanks

Sorry to hear that. The review were probably forged too if they are pirating photos. See if there are any autopians by you who can help you out.

Just getting around to posting some pics of their work. Enjoy!

Please note that if by some chance I receive a refund I will edit this page to give them credit for at least following through on their promise of a refund.

Thanks for posting this review it might help a fellow Autopian from having the same trouble. When you pay a pro to detail your car it should not have swirls. I hope you get your money back.

sorry to hear about your misfortune with these dishonest individuals. you should put where you are located so an Autopian can help you out and do it the right way...

btw... gmblack3a will take care of you if you decide to have his services done, they don't get any better than him... :up

Looks like they compounded your car with a wool pad and a heavy compound. Crazy buffer trails !!! Its a shame when people get into this business and learn on the job training with other peoples cars. According to their website they also install 3M paint protection film. I am a certified installer through 3M, and I can tell you firsthand that you don't want a inexperience installer working with PPF. Find a detailer on this forum, and I am sure that they will be able to correct that mess the right way.

this is kinda funny these guys called me earlier this week and said they had some dodge viper that they was a track car and it was coming up north and found me via google and wanted me to detail it. lol needless to day after doing some research i found out about them and didn't bother with it. lol no viper hear yet.

UPDATE June 25 - So it has been a whole week since my refund "was put in the mail" and still no check. All this is pretty surprising considering that Mobile 1 was super nice and accommodating on the phone. Would have never guessed that they would turn out to be the absolute worst customer service experience of my life. Let it be known that if I do receive a refund I will edit these posts to reflect that in the end they did hold up their obligation.

Bufferbarry:

Yeah Im sure Joe is a fantastic detailer. Its just funny that a picture of his work wound up on the Mobile 1 website as a picture of "their" work. Considering that Joe is on the west cost and Mobile 1 is on the east..... Wish I had noticed that pirated pic earlier.

BigAl3:

Yep my baby is going to gmblack3a to get fixed from the Mobile 1 hack job. I spent almost two weeks researching detailers prior to selecting Mobile 1 and gmblack3a was my first choice since he can literally resurrect paint. Unfortunately I let the price difference sway my better judgment to Mobile 1 and learned the hard way, again, to trust my gut. But reading the Mobile 1 local reviews they sounded like a quality operation with great feedback. Now it looks like the majority of those reviews were forged. Im trying to get with gmblack3a here pretty soon so he can determine if they buffed through the clear coat in which case its off to the lawyer I go to file a lawsuit.

Thanks to all of you for your support. Please continue to post responses and check back for updates! :2thumbs:

Mikey, I will do everything in my power to ensure your 100% satisfaction.

Just LMK when you want to get together and I will bring my paint gage to ensure those frauds did not thin out your clear.

Mikey as a professional at this detail gig, I can assure you that bryan from peachstatedetailing will be the best man for the job. he is very professional and his work truely speaks for itself. good luck. and remember there is a reason we charge what we do!

I believe in "you get what you pay for." But unfortunately you can also pay for it and not get it in my case. Mobile 1 charged me $250 for an exterior only detail of a 3 year old vehicle. I thought that was a good "professional" rate not a $50 wash and wax which is the service I got.

At this point I would have come out better to paid the little extra versus paying Mobile 1 detailing to hack the car up then paying someone else to fix their damage.

But you live and you learn.... again.

For $250 they should have been able to get decent (but not absolute perfection unless your paint was in pretty good shape to start with) correction without leaving buffer trails.
