Do I need to remove Klasse?

My truck is 6 months old a when I brought it home I did the AIO and several coats of SG. Now to start over should I just add more SG or do I need to AIO and then SG or do I need to remove everything first and start from scratch, if so How do I remove it? This isn't a show truck, it's my work truck and I just want to keep it looking as nice as possible and keep the paint protected. Thanks

Most people on this board do a detail on their vehicle every 6 months, which includes polishing the paint. Regular waxing and use of a mild polish will keep oxidation down, keep the paint clear, and keep the swirls down. I would suggest using Meguiar's #9 by hand if you want to do a polish. It is easy to use.

I had three coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze (two coats of AIO underneath) and it lasted the full 6 months. I used Pro's Liquid Fallout Remover to remove the coats of Klasse and it did a great job. No beading could be seen on the second wash.

Using a polish like the above mentioned Meguiar's #9 would also strip Klasse SG off. Other methods like steel wool, Sandpaper, and sand blasting will also remove the Klasse SG but we don't really suggest the use of them.

If you're getting 6 months of protection from a work truck, I'd be flat amazed. I'll bet a paycheck most if not all the Klasse is gone.

So you'll have to repeat most of the steps you used before to get it looking good again. No need to strip off the old product with some harsh chemical since there isn't much product left on it.

I'd wash, clay, polish if you need to, AIO, then SG as many times as you want to. The truck should look great afterwards.

As for the steel wool, sandpaper, and sand blasting........ that's just our Intel being the bonehead he really is. ;) Don't worry, he's harmless.:doh

You would be able to apply AIO (maybe x2 layers) to keep the truck protected and shiny (if you do not want to do the whole detailing regiment of claying, removing any new swirl marks ect), then apply your SG. Applying just SG is fine if done under 5 to 6 months from initial application I would think (I am not sure that is why using AIO would be good).
