Do I need a bigger vacuum?

Hi,

I am currently using a Craftsmans 3.5 hp 6 gallon vacuum right now. I want to make my details faster. If I buy a 6.5hp vacuum, could it drastically cut down the time? thanks

More importantly than the HP rating is the performance statistics. Mainly the water lift in inches and the volume of air flow (CFM). Use these numbers as a comparison. Unfortunately these specifications can be difficult to find on some models. A very good vacuum can allow you to detail slightly quicker and will give your customers a better value.

I have used some mega power vacuums, and feel that they "stick" to the floor so much it slows me down.

Maybe they need some relief holes to prevent them sticking, but then you are losing suction.

If it were me, I would get a new filter for your current vacuum and call it a day.
