Pittssteelers said:Any Dealership that is Certified HAS to wash it's customers cars if they want to retain its Certified (5 star) ranking. They have no choice because the parent compainies mandate it. We also own a Ford, Chevy, and Kia and they all mandate this. We have no choice.

I do however make sure I wash it the day before I am taking it in. If you want to make sure it doesn't get washed the sign is good, telling you advisor is good, and bringing it in clean doesn't hurt either.

I specifically tell them everytime I go in not to wash my car. The have magnetic "hats" that say "DO NOT WASH" on them that they'll stick on the car and they'll write it in big print on the invoice not to wash my car. My service writer also tells me that they will not wash trucks that have a bug deflector on them because the touch-and-swirl machine will rip it off.
