Here is the interior on a Chevy Blazer... it is probalby one of the worst interiors I have had to deal with. The carpet was completely disgusting, the panels had probably 1/8" dust and dirt, and the whole interior looks like it has never been detailed since the car was new. This is especially poor condition seeing this SUV is a 2000 model! Anyway, here are the pics... process listed afterwards.

House paint successfully removed!

How can someone car so little about keeping their car... sanitary?

A decent amount of that same white paint was on this door panel... the rest is just dirt and grime.

The carpets were cleaned using an oxy mix, scrubbed with a medium bristle carpet brush, rinsed with hot water and extracted through a little green clean machine. The seats were also cleaned using this method... except for the paint on the drivers seat, which I decided to blot with a highly diluted mix of SG and scrub like crazy.

The door panels and dash were cleaned using a woolite/water mix, then topped with AA. (Had to use up the bottle sometime!) Door jambs were wiped with AA carwash wipes (the ONLY thing I will use them for.... that and possibly they are useful under the hood) and windows cleaned with Stoners IG.

There was a great improvement, but I am still not 100% pleased with the carpets. They are greatly worn, and I think I got about all the dirt out of them I could. The little green steam machine was full of the dirtiest water I had ever seen once I was done with this one. I noticed the crumbs under the back seat that were unable to be vacuumed up, those were taken care of right after I took these pictures.

Opinions?

Nice job turning that puppy around. It some times amazes me how people just don't take care of their interiors. After cleaning motor homes for 2 years, I've seen my share of pretty disgusting stuff.

awesome turn around, working at a dealer, i see interiors like that way too often :(

what is wrong with some people

Hey guys, once upon a time my poor car looked worse than that!

I was so super busy, juggling a business, a house, and a family, that how my car looked was one of my last priorities. And then all the effort started to pay off. Now I'm at a stage in my profession where, whether I like it or not, my car is a reflection of myself. And boy does it reflects.

Just be happy that people like that seek out people like you to help them out.

Last year I did a 1998 Chevy Lumina that was like this .It clean up pretty good, but I seen the car a month ago and it is just as dirty as it was before. Some people just dont care.

Thanks for the comments guys, it makes the work worth it! I only used one fillup of rinse water for the LGSM... think it should have taken more? It seemed to hold a lot. I worked on it at a slow pace since it's at my house... took a lot of breaks in between. I probably spent about 30 mins just vacuuming it one day, 4 hours working on it yesterday, and one making everything look its best today.

I'll be making anywhere from $1000-2000 on this one, so that makes it worth it too, lol. I bought the car at an auction cheap and cleaned it up... the exterior is pretty bad too... pics of that will be posted later this week when it's done. Anyway, I agreed to sell it for a certain price to someone at school, then realized it was worth over $1000 more. If he buys it I told him I would sell it at the quoted price... but otherwise, I will hopefully sell it for about $1000 more. (2000 profit)

This one will possibly be entered in the detail of the month contest once the exterior is done. It probably won't win, but hey, it will be entered! lol

Big turn around Joe! I agree that hurt to look at an interior in such disgusting condition. I don't have to look far to see a dirty interior, my wifes car gets like that regularly. I will clean it and full dress it and a month later it's filthy. She just doesn't care about it. I know I wasn't raised to treat a vehicle that way. You invest too much money into them to treat it like crap.

Oh well, my 2 cents.
