If I order this kit from CMA can I get other pads later that will work with the velcro plate? I was looking at the Meguires pads and may want to give them a try later..I would think that you can interchange them as long as they have the velcro.

I was looking at the Meguires Show Car Glaze and Swirl Remover and wondering are these supposed to be used together?? Example..wash car use Show Car Glaze then Swirl remover then wax or do you reverse and use swirl remover first??

Thanks for the help

Yes, the pads are interchangeable. If you use the Velcro backing plate you can attach any ol' pad you want. I use a combo of CMA, Meguiars, and others. Even an oversized pad is OK; I have pads meant for 8" backing plates that attach just fine to my 6" PC plate.

Meguiar's Swirl Mark Remover is a tad more aggressive than Show Car Glaze. The rule of thumb is to use the least aggressive methods first. If they do not work go to the next level of aggression. Sometimes two steps of mild product is safer and more effective than one step of aggressive product. It takes experience to figure out what to do when so go easy at first.

Also keep one other thing in mind: Not only are products made with different levels of aggressiveness, so are pads. So sometimes a mild product with a more aggressive pad is better than a soft pad with an aggressive product. Again, some experimentation and a little trial and error is par for the course. if you're not sure what to do, go gentle.
