Dilute solvent based tire dressing

Hello all...I got a sample of a bulk solvent based tire and trim dressing that goes on WAY to glossy. Just wondering if it can be diluted down with water.

What is the brand/chemical?



I know some dressings (Hyperdressing) are intended to be diluted, but those are water-based. I'd image something solvent based would be a little different.

If I like it I will be using it on the cars at a couple of used car lots I do work for. I currently use a water based dressing with a matte look (which I like), but the dealers like a higher gloss and longer lasting product since the cars can site on the lot for extended periods of time.
 
If you dilute it with the same solvent that the product uses, you can potentially apply less product to the tire because the ratio of volatile solvent to shiny stuff goes up.

Perfect. I'll give that a try. I have applied it with a wax applicator and it looked much better than with a foam tire applicator for some reason.

Is putting mineral spirits on rubber a good thing? I'd suggest a water based tire dressing.
