Did my menzerna go bad?

Last year I detailed my fiancee's red nissan altima and was very pleased with the results. I got the bulk of the swirls/scratches out and did some pretty acceptable correction work using a PC with IP/FP followed by KAIO and sealant.

Well, this weekend I decided to give it another once over for the summer and I could barely put a dent in what seemed not so severe. I washed and clayed pretty well and the paint was smooth when I went at it, but both the intensive and final polish were gumming up badly on my pads.

I had a real nightmare of a time getting the IP to break down completely, and the FP would seem to break down then be really difficult to wipe the residue away...

The car is glossy and protected now, but I didn't get half the correction I'd hoped for...

All my detailing gear was left in the garage over winter, but it doesn't really get much colder than 50 degrees in there...

What gives?

Did you shake the crap out of it before you started? If not, go ahead and do that. Menzerna gets finicky, particularly if it has sat for a while and is not thoroughly mixed.

hmm... you know I probably could have shaken it a bit better. I wonder what that will mean for the remainder of the bottle. I.e. if there will be a disproportionate amount of abrasives in the bottom of the tub.
