Did I use too little Jeff's Acrylic Jett?

Over the week, I have washed, clayed, compounded with an orange 5" CCS pad and Poli-Sealed with a white 5" CCS Pad. Also, if a day went between the mentioned stages, I would rewash the car to ensure I didn't grind any dust into the paint. Last night I washed my car and applied Jeff's Acrylic Jett. It was my first time using Acyrlic Jett, I used to use Meguiars #20. I took the advice of many of the Acrylic Jett users and applied it VERY sparingly. When I first applied it to the Sonus SFX Pro I put a thin 1 -1.5 inch line on the applicator knowing the much of the product would be absorbed into the applicator. I then spread that line over 1/2 of my roof. After that, I would only put 2 - 3 drops on the applicator and spread that over a 2' x 2' area. Is that too little to use?

I ask because after I was done and went to buff the car, on many sections, you could not see a haze as if it didn't have any on it. I know it had some product on it, I made sure my 2' x 2' sections overlapped to prevent missing any of the surface. Granted, it was getting later in the day and was starting to get dark but I still should have been able to see a haze. Also, at the advice of several posters here, along with spreading the product on, I would go over the area to "work it in". From reading on here, that makes buffing Acrylic Jett easier. Could that explain why I didn't see a haze in some spots? Any advice is appreciated.

Also, I would have provided pics but my camera is broken and my cell phone does not have a camera - sorry.

If you lightly work AJ into the paint, it nearly disappears and there is very little product to buff off so I think you applied it properly.

2 or 3 drops sounds like enough AJ for a 2'x2' area. I've used an ounce or less on most vehicles.

If you're losing sleep over it, why not just apply another layer to assure complete coverage?

You are correct. I got back into town and yesterday and washed my car, the beaded like I have never seen a car bead. Unfortunately, I had not checked this thread since Friday afternoon and saw yours and smprince's comments. So like the anal person I am, I applied a second coat on Sunday afternoon and applied a thicker coat. Let's just say my arms and shoulders got a nice workout.
