Diamond Plate Aluminum Running Boards

Non-anodized, just really grungy looking. Eagle 1 Aluminum Wheel cleaner doesnt phase the grunge. I polished a small 8" x 8" section by hand with Surf City Killer Chrome (only metal polish I had on hand). There has to be a more effective method:think:; what do you recommend?
