DG / depth on paint

Im not here to dissuae you of its use thats for sure.

I was just looking for your opinion, I feel pretty comfortable with it but it's all in what works for you!

I might try some wet glaze with the 105, but I really want some looks I'll just throw a coat of FMJ on it since I've got it laying around...

If you put too much AW on in a mont it will cloud the paint so that may be the problem and yes Duragloss with Danase wet glaze does look good and Wet glaze is soooo easy to use melts into the paint.

might try mixing some 105 and WG in a bottle or is that message in a bottle

This makes me want to mix up a small batch of Wolfgang sealant and DG #105. The Wolfgang gives the best look I've ever witnessed but with so-so durability.....the #105 gives a decent look with quite good durability. I'll give it a go once the 105 arrives next week. I hope I don't create a Haloween monster!

Like I said I was originally just asking for an opinion to get better looks out of it . I've got a crap load of products to use and or play with , to me making some work and trying different combo's is the fun part of detailing.

I personally DO NOT believe there is any more research in boutique products , over priced ... yes. Its all in marketing to the masses or for the select few crazy detailers like us.

Everyone has their own opinion of whats good , in cleaning out some of my stuff , I have given away all of my Zaino and most of my CK products. Just don't like the look of either one. I don't use DG on customer cars , just my own to play with. For them and most of my own stuff I been using Megs and FK stuff and been very happy as well as customers.

This thread is getting to heavy guys ..... lets lighten up a little

Would the results be similar as if you applied 105 and immediately follow with WGDDGS and then buffing off residue together?

My point is and this is JMO I will use what gives me the results I am looking for regardless of cost. I can tell you right off for me there is a huge difference between AW and Z8 because my car is metalic multiple uses of AW mute the metalic not so with Z8 or for that matter CS and OS. I can also tell the difference in looks between DG105 and ZAIO or Z5 pro. I will say that the durability og DG products are quite good.

If all the ingredients were the exact same the results would be the exact same.

The difference in looks is what I am paying for. I will not use something just because its cheaper. Honestly I have the whole DG line if I liked it better than what I use now I would use it.

I have to agree. I just applied Z8 after a wash today and noticed how much better the silver paint's flake looked vs. last week's post wash coat of AW. IMO, these two products are definitely not the same, nor do they give the same look.

Now, used on my white car, I really don't see a big difference between AW and Z8.. it's subtle, but they both look great.

I also like the smell of Z8 better than AW.

Yet, on the QD side, I actually prefer DG 521 to Z6.
